At The Central Surgery we are committed to developing a culture that promotes the privacy and dignity of all our patients and are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for both our patients and our staff.
The Central Surgery has members of staff that are trained chaperones who can serve as witness for both patients and clinicians as a safeguarding personal during medical examination or procedures.
If a patient would like to have a chaperone accompany them to their appointment they can ask at front reception.

We respect your right to privacy and keep all your health information confidential and secure. It is important that the NHS keeps accurate and up-to-date records about your health and treatment so that those treating you can give you the best possible care.
This information may be used for management and audit purposes. However, it is usually only available to, and used by, those involved in your care. You have the right to know what information we hold about you. If you would like to see your records please seek further information from a member of reception.
The Practice takes it very seriously if a member of staff is treated in an abusive or violent way.
The Practice supports the government’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ campaign for Health Service Staff. This states that GPs and their staff have a right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused. To successfully provide these services a mutual respect between all the staff and patients has to be in place.
